1.06 - Bottle Lover's Waltz

from Diamond Days & Firenights [2 LP] by The Last Domino

/

about

Ingredients: guitar, bass, drums, keys, tambourine, violin (played brilliantly by Matt Stutzman), melodica, wine glass tapped with a fork, and two beer bottle panflutes (and yes, the beer was drunk down to exact pitches). Makes for one fine sea chantey!
Grand scheme: "Midwinter", "Last Call", and "Waltz" are in the same key, and flow into one another, making it all seem like a sort of child's nightmare sequence that is brought abruptly back to reality by the following track, "Loophole". Wait, but "Loophole" takes place within a dream... Hmm, I need to get better at bullshitting this whole storyline thing.
